the girls do North Shore

Spent the day in Haleiwa with one of my closest friends, Erica. We had a great time and together we did all the fun things that the boyfriend never lets me do, like pick papayas illegally on the side of the road, pull over and take pictures with the cute sign, and shop our little hearts out. We ate at the cutest Thai restaurant and it was deeelicious, except for the wasp and the gecko who decided to join us for dinner. We were a little bit scared out of our minds. After such a hard day of shopping we ended it in the most appropriate way, watching the sunset on the beach at Waimea Bay. Wish you were here, and If you're in Arkansas I'll be seeing you soon!

a day in the sun

So the boy and I spent one sunny day driving around North Shore, and yes I got sunburnt. We were so surprised that it was nice and sunny because we usually (just by chance) go on days with not-so-great weather. But this particular day it was very nice, up until it started pouring. This probably would have been no big deal in any normal car, but that that boy of mine drives a Jeep, which has no doors and no top.... this made things quite a bit more interesting. Well, my friends I hope you are enjoying yourselves this week and get out and get a little sun too.

We had a nice little picnic at Kailua Beach, we took the grill and made cheeseburgers and it was great. I love when we actually do things after work, rather than just sit around and be lazy. Kailua is a beautiful place to watch the evening fade. It's a good time to go too because most of the day's beach-goers have already left so you have the beach pretty much to yourself.

Beaching It... in fast forward

Yes, our beach time was in fast forward because we were at the beach for all of 10 minutes. Why? because Island Snow shave ice was calling us... and we answered, very quickly. For the record, it was delicious. Look at how hard that boy of mine is trying to not look like he is enjoying his. You just can't hide the kind of happiness that delicious frosty treats bring. Get ready for the weekend my friends, I predict that it will be a good one. Why, you ask? well because I have Sunday off and it is the first weekend day I have had off in as long as I can remember.

take your girlfriend to work day

The other day that boy I got to go to work for a bit with that boy of mine. He just had to drop something off at the boat, so I took that time to snap lots of pictures of the harbor, which I had never showed you before. The harbor is nice, and sometimes you can spot manta rays and other neat things swimming around in it.

Waikiki Beach

Went to the beach the other day, and it was pretty awesome. I usually don't enjoy Waikiki beach as much as the others because it is so packed, but I was by myself so it was nice to be able to people watch... and it was really nice being able to walk to Subway right on the beach, even though it was $8 for a 6in sandwich.

Would you believe that all those clothes fit into only half of my suitcase... leaving just enough space for shoes and beauty supplies.

So all this packing was so that the boyfriend and I could take a little trip to Pennsylvania to visit his wonderful family. And boy was it fun...
